On behalf of Columbian family I feel incredible joy in welcoming you all on the occasion of our 24thannual function ‘The Columbian Rhapsody’.

I , extend you all my sincere warm welcome and greetings. We have great pleasure in presenting to you the Annual Day Report. Before I present a brief description of our achievements in different fields, I express my gratitude to our Chairman Sir Mr. Rishi Chaudhary who not only look-after the welfare of this institution but also guide and motivate us to achieve higher goals every year. What we are today is due to his farsighted vision and strong will to set up educational institutions.

The school started its journey in the year 2000 with the motto to “spread the knowledge to one and all. Today the school has proved to be one of the prestigious & renowned institutions in Faridabad. We duly appreciate the tremendous co-operation on the part of everyone associated with this institution, the staff members and the parents without whom  reaching such a height would not have been possible.

Starting with the School Excellence Award,   we are delighted to inform that our  School Director Ms. Sangeeta Bhati was bestowed the prestigious “School Excellence Awards 2024″, which acknowledges and applauds the efforts of Educational institutions which showed exceptional academic and extracurricular work and excellence in the field of education.

I proudly place before you the achievement of our students of Std. X & XII who appeared for the 2023-24 board examination, passed with flying colours. From class XII, the toppers , Tushar Jha scored 96 % in Science stream. From Commerce we have Shivam Kumar topping with 97 % and in Humanities stream, Nitin Kumar scored 96 %. We also feel delighted to have Indranil Gupta and Sujeeta Kumari  with 100 out of 100 in Chemistry.

A felicitation ceremony was organized by the Haryana Progressive Schools Conference at Shiv Nadar School on May 27, 2024. The event, titled ‘Sahodaya Utkrisht Puraskaar’.The ceremony felicitated the top-performing students in different categories, they were Tushar Jha in Non-Medical, Ayushi Arya in Medical, Shivam Kumar Rai in Commerce and Nitin Kumar in Humanities from grade XII and Mriganka Barman from grade X.  The school toppers were presented with Certificates of Excellence, acknowledging their remarkable accomplishments.

Ms. Laxmi Walia was awarded for her remarkable efforts in advancing and fostering the all – round development of students & Mr. Rajendra Negi for being the best driver in Faridabad.

The Benediction Ceremony was held to bless the school cricket team going to participate in the International Triangular Cricket Series – 2024 Malaysia.

The school has already been victorious in the International Triangular Series in Dubai,2011 &2022 , Sri Lanka, 2012, Moscow, 2013, Nepal, 2014, Singapore,

The School made an indelible mark on the international sports arena with its exceptional performance in Kartikeya Sports Carnival Triangular Series held in Malaysia by lifting the championship trophy and bringing pride to both the school and the country.

On August 17, 2024, St. Columbus School girls along with the staff members  celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the honourable Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Nayab Singh Saini and his spouse Ms. Suman Saini at his official residence.

The girls of St. Columbus had also got an opportunity to tie  Rakhi on the wrists of dignitaries and Police Officers who are the real heroes of our country. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Arya (IPS) IGP/Administration and Law & Order, Haryana, Mr. O. P. Narwal (Commissioner of Police, Haryana) Mr. Kuldeep Singh, (IPS)DCP, Faridabad, Ms. Monika Singh(HPS),ACP and other Police officers appreciated the efforts of the Columbians and were overwhelmed to see the handmade Rakhis. They gave their heartfelt wishes and blessings for the bright future.

The school visited the office of honourable Cabinet Minister Mr. Chirag Paswan in Delhi on August 23,2024 to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami with him.

Ms. Meenakshi Chaudhary, District Programme Officer, WCD, Faridabad, Ms. Sammohini Roopa, Co-Ordinator SPP, Iskon, Faridabad and Former Botany Lecturer, NEET Coach and presently Mentor of ISKCON Girls Forum, Faridabad Ms. Pragati Singla graced  the occasion celebrated in the school on 24th August, 2024.A delightful performance was given by the Members of ISKCON in the form of a Sankritana and Bhajan.

In order to facilitate the students with the competitive spirit, the school organizes various inter-house activities to make students aware with every face of life and equip them with the knowledge and skills to become a global citizen.

Chhavi of class V bagged the Silver medal by putting up a phenomenal performance in the Delhi State Roller Skating Championship, held on 14th April, 2024 at DDA Flats Sports Complex. Rohini, Delhi 2024.

The DPSG Cup Faridabad Chess Competition, held at DPS  on 29 th April  2024, Shoaib Khan  of class III clinched the gold medal in a remarkable display of skill and determination.

Tanmay Kashyap, a superb badminton player of grade V bagged 3rdposition  in U10,   held on 5th May, 2024 in Shining Star Junior Badminton Championship at Faridabad, Haryana.

An Inter school chess competition was organised by K.R.Mangalam World School, Faridabad on 20 July, 2024. Ahaana Kanojia grabbed 3rd position and Sohail Khan got 10th  position under 11 category. Shoaib Khan clinched 5th position under 9 category whereas Sarfaraz Khan got 6th position under 15 category in Chess Tournament.

Hriday Batra of  class IX , emerged victorious by winning the gold medal in The Rajasthan Open 4 Inter-State Karate Championship, organized by the Indian Martial Arts Hub under the Fit India initiative,  held at the Sriganganagar Traders Association in Rajasthan on 21st July 2024.

Dhruv, a Class IX student, won the Bronze medal in the 400 m race under the U-17 category at the prestigious CBSE Athletics Meet Cluster 15, 2024-2025 on 28 & 29 September 2024,  held at Heritage School of Learning, Mangawas, Beri, Jhajjar, Haryana.

Ms. Ishita Ruhela of class 9  received a scholarship award of Twenty One Thousand      cash prize from Orange Global Olympiad for securing II Rank at National Level Examination organised by Orange Education at the FIIT R&I Park, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas.

The students of St. Columbus School participated in the prestigious 6th Maharathi Chess Tournament 2024, held recently, at Sarai International School, Indrapuram, Ghaziabad. Shoaib Khan put up an outstanding performance, securing the Gold Medal in under 11 category and finishing in 8th position overall and Sohail Khan  earned the Bronze Medal for his skillful and consistent gameplay.

The school organized a number of Inter House Competitions throughout the year pertaining to Salad Making Competition, English Poem Recitation Competition, Radio Jockey, English Solo Singing Competition, Hindi Poem Recitation Competition, Shlokocharan Competition, HindiDoha Gyan Competition, Hindi And English Calligraphy Competition Puppet Show Competition Best Holiday Home Work, etc. to encourage team spirit &understanding of culture among students.

The School also celebrated Ganesh Chathurthi, Onam, Teej, Basant Panchami, Diwali, Kargil Vijay Diwas Guruparv etc.in the school premises amidst much fan fare involving staff and management of the school.

To mark the spirit of patriotism, the school celebrated 78th Independence Day on 13th August, 2024 with great pomp and splendor The Chief Guest to embellish the event was Mr. O.P. Narwal (IPS), Joint Commissioner of Police, Faridabad. Mr.  Mr. Gaurav Antil (HCS), Additional Commissioner, MCF , Mr. Vijay Pratap Singh and Mrs. Venuka  (Social Workers) were the Guests of Honour.

To honour the Republic Day the School, celebrated the 75hRepublic Day in the school premises. The Chief Guest was Mr. Rambir Singh, SHO, Surajkund, Faridabad, Mr. Naresh Kumar and Sub Inspector Mr. Dharamveer Singh, Police Station, Dayal Bagh, Faridabad.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a key initiative under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was celebrated nationwide from 13th to 15th August 2024.

 11th March, 2024 was observed as ‘Foundation and Charity Day’.

The tree planting festival ‘Van Mahotsav’ was observed on 6TH July 2024. The students took a pledge to keep the environment ‘CLEAN AND GREEN’.

The school celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21 to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world.

With the aim to nurture children’s creativity, Fancy Dress Competition was organized on 9th November 2024, for the students of classes Nursery to II in its premises.

The School celebrated its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2024-2025 on July 12, 2024. The occasion was graced by the chief guest, Mr. Kuldeep Singh , DCP NIT Faridabad, Haryana and the guest of honour, Ms. Mamta Bhadana, Social Worker and General Secretary of Bhartiya Gunjan Mahasabha and Mr. Rakesh Garg Chairperson of Vrindavan Group.Newly formed Council – The Head Boy Daksh Singh Tanwar , Head Girl Jhanvi Pareek ,  were then conferred with badges and sashes by Honourable chief guest, Mr. Kuldeep Singh , the guest of honour, Ms. Mamta Bhadana and Mr. Rakesh Garg. The Head Boy Daksh Singh Tanwar , Head Girl Jhanvi Pareek , Suraj Tiwari, Dheeraj, Dikshali Singh and Chavi were appointed as Discipline Incharges. Tashim Ahmed, Atharv Mishra, Angel and Samridhi Kumari were awarded with the badges of Sports captain and Sports vice-captain respectively. Vividh Grover and Sanskriti Rawat were elected as Head Prefects.

Some students always stay forward in their achievements and discharging the duties assigned to them, so we congratulate Suhani Singh for being selected as the best prefect and Chinmay Khandelwal and Nitika Singh for the Star of the year.

Teacher’s Day programme was followed by the felicitation of teachers for their outstanding performance indifferent fields for the session 2023-2024. Ms. Savita Sheoran , Ms. Ms. Poonam Sharma, Mr. Mohan Sharma and Ms. Anupa Kaul were honoured with the “Best Teacher” award from the senior, middle and junior wing and sub junior wing respectively. Ms. Sangeeta Dheer received the Best Teacher Award from National Columbus School.

An Inter-House Competition ‘Best Out of Waste’ for the students of classes VI to VIII and ‘Science Exhibition’ for classes IX to XII was organized on May 17, 2024. The guest to embellish the event was Mr Rama Shankar Singh- a senior consultant in the field of Physical Therapy and Orthopedics. ,

A disaster management mock drill was conducted on 2nd May, 2024 to ensure the safety and security of the students and staff members.

The school organized a “Pool Party” for the summer camp students on 29th May, 2024.

As part of a recreational trip, on 24 July, 2024 the students of classes VII to IX were taken to MX Silver  City Mall, Sector 12,Faridabad for a special screening of the popular movie ‘Sarfira’ organized by Dainik Jagran.

From time to time, the school also conducts various workshops and seminars to up date  the teachers and students about the latest trends in education.

Before I conclude the report I humbly acknowledge the encouragement and positive energy that is given by everyone present here. I take this opportunity to thank our Chairman Sir Mr. Rishi Choudhary and our Director Mrs. Sangeeta Bhati for their constant support. I also extend my gratitude to all the members of Columbian family Parents, Benefactors and Resource Persons for striving earnestly in taking our school  to greater Heights.

I sincerely thank the Almighty for giving me the opportunity to present the Annual Report of this prestigious school. Thank you, everyone, from the depth of my heart.
